The Role

As a Housing Options Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the 'Homes for Bolton' housing register, facilitating applicants in their quest for social housing. Your responsibilities will extend to delivering comprehensive Housing Options services, providing essential guidance and support to individuals seeking access to housing solutions, including those requiring adapted living spaces and those with medical or other support needs.

Moreover, you will engage in casework and assessments, collaborating with disability officers, hospital specialists, and social workers to evaluate urgent needs. You will also provide assistance to 'Homes for Bolton' partner landlords, ensuring the quality of advertisements and the efficiency of the shortlisting process.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team member with outstanding communication and networking abilities, fostering positive relationships and empowering customers to address their housing and related needs. You will demonstrate excellent casework practices and a commitment to achieving best practices in support of the team and service.

Your understanding of housing needs, medical and disability issues, homelessness, relevant legal frameworks, and associated service provisions will be essential. You must exhibit initiative, effective organizational skills, and a proven ability to make sound decisions and achieve positive outcomes in complex casework scenarios.
