About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join our team as a Children's Home Registered Manager. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the smooth running of daily life within your home, enabling young people to thrive.

You will inspire and lead your team to manage a warm and friendly home that provides a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to achieve positive outcomes. You will be responsible for the organisation of work patterns, facilitation of training, and the accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within your home.

You will lead a team of colleagues and facilitate their professional development so that they not only provide high-quality care and support, but are enabled to fulfil their own career potential too.

You will design, implement and monitor the care and education plans to meet the individual needs of our children and young people, ensuring that key life and independent skills are achieved in the enriching and positive environment we strive to create.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of colleagues and facilitate their professional development
  • Design, implement and monitor care and education plans
  • Organise work patterns and facilitate training
  • Access appropriate services to support childcare practices
Requirements
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Residential Childcare)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience of managing an Ofsted home with a rating of good or above
  • Experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviours
  • Full UK driving license
  • Excellent knowledge of current legislations, including The Children's Homes England Regulations 2015 and The Children's Act 1989
