Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lead for Professional Services and ICT to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing and leading a new corporate procurement category team for Professional Services and ICT, with a focus on implementing a category management approach to achieve best-in-class solutions and value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a commercial category strategy and policy for Professional Services and ICT
- Manage all sourcing activities for major spend categories and assigned projects, adapting resources to meet strategic deadlines and organizational objectives
- Foster effective communication and team commitment, building strong working relationships at both project and direct reporting levels
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to ensure best value in procurement, providing leadership and influence to support commercial engagements
- Resolve conflicts constructively with team members and stakeholders, including high-level government entities
- Oversee procurement and commercial responsibilities for all projects within assigned categories, ensuring compliance with commercial requirements and regulations
Requirements
- MCIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) fully qualified
- Category Management Experience
- Degree level or equivalent experience
- Experience of working with public contract regulations since 2015 on end-to-end Procurements and good working knowledge of the Public Procurement Regulations 2023
- Experience at strategic procurement project and programme level acting as the lead expert for complex/critical Procurement and Commercial issues and influence both internal and external stakeholders
