Job Title: Academy Sports Science Internship

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Men's Academy Sport Science Department as an intern. The successful candidate will assist with the daily operation and function of the department, working across a wide range of disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the daily monitoring of all PDP (U21/U18s) players using a range of physical tests to produce pre-training reports for the Sports Science department and coaching staff.
  • Live monitoring of players GPS during training/rehabilitation sessions to ensure physical targets are achieved.
  • Assist with the collection and analysis of data to produce daily training/load monitoring reports for Sport Science and coaching staff.
  • Develop and maintain all Sport Science databases to the highest standard.
  • Measure, record, and track all physical testing of players including anthropometric, gym, and pitch-based tests.
Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled on a BSc in Sports Science or a related discipline and looking to complete a sandwich year.
  • A basic understanding of Sport Science and its role within a professional sporting environment.
  • Knowledge of field and gym-based testing and its application in professional sport.
  • This is a full-time role that includes work on weekends and evenings.
