Job Opportunity for a Year 3 Teacher

Wayman Group is seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 3 teacher to join our team of experienced educators. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching lower Key Stage 2 students and a proven track record of driving attainment and creating engaging lessons.

About the Role

  • As a Year 3 teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
  • Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.
  • Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  • Helping children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  • Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents.

Requirements

  • Ability to commute to the school via public transport.
  • Experience teaching lower Key Stage 2.
  • Confidence to hit the ground running, proactively lead a class, and manage behavior in line with school behavior policies.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching primary school students, ideally in KS2.
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.

  • A passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
