About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dispensing Assistant to join our team at LloydsPharmacy Clinical Homecare. As a key member of our dispensing team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient supply of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Dispensing: Accurately dispense medication following company procedures and regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with GPhC guidelines.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete all required documentation accurately and adhere to Health & Safety regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings and maintain mandatory learning as per company policy.
  • Quality Control: Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in prescription dispensing and maintain a clean and organized working environment.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Goods Receipt: Efficiently and accurately check off received goods and quarantine them as per procedure.
  • Picking Products: Accurately pick items and ensure correct stock rotation, verifying that products meet the required shelf life.
  • Interpretation and Dispensing: Interpret and dispense prescriptions accurately, following GPhC regulations, and label and assemble medications, ensuring all hygiene requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: GCSE English & Maths (or equivalent), NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent), dispensing experience in a high-turnover dispensary, working knowledge of GPhC guidelines.
  • Skills and Personal Qualities: Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, ability to meet tight deadlines, customer-focused, flexible, team player, reliable, and punctual.
