Ambulance Care Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team at EMED Group. As a key member of our Safe Care Division, you will play a vital role in supporting the transportation of vulnerable individuals to and from healthcare facilities.
Main Responsibilities- Support the transportation of service users to and from healthcare facilities, working alongside police and other professionals.
- Assist service users with challenging behavior and/or mental health illnesses, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with hospital staff and the police to ensure the safe conveyance of service users.
- Responsible for lifting, securing, and helping service users in and out of the ambulance.
- Ensure the ambulance is kept safe, clean, and tidy at all times.
- Full manual UK driving license.
- Committed to patient care and the ability to build a rapport with patients.
- Effective communication skills and experience of communicating with others in emotional and difficult circumstances.
- Calm, considerate, and careful driver with no more than six penalty points on your license.
- Natural flair for team working and collaboration.
- Physically fit for patient handling, moving, and occasionally, patient restraint when required.
- Able to problem solve and identify key changes in patients' behavior while working in demanding situations.
