Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Operations Specialist to join our team, located in the Gatwick area. This role is integral to our International Operations Centre (IOC), where you will play a crucial part in managing urgent logistical needs for our airline partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill time-sensitive demands from airline clients, collaborating closely with the Operations Specialist Team Leader to meet operational performance metrics and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain effective communication with airline customers, providing clear and confident updates regarding the logistical movement of critical shipments.
  • Oversee all aspects of Materials, Procurement, and Inventory Management, ensuring processes align with the standards set by the Operations Specialist Team Leader.
  • Act as the primary contact for requests from contracted airline customers, ensuring timely demand submissions and identifying supply sources to arrange shipments in line with service agreements.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and risks, evaluating their implications and working collaboratively with relevant parties to develop contingency plans.
  • Ensure that inventory levels accurately reflect operational needs through statistical analysis, addressing any surplus or shortages effectively.
  • Set reorder levels and minimum order quantities to optimize efficiency and prevent overstocking or stockouts across all warehouses.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in time-critical supply chain or logistics operations within a high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to adapt to proprietary IT systems.
