Job Title: Principal DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Birmingham, UK)

Salary: up to £80k per annum + 20% bonus

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal DevOps Engineer to join our team at Digital Waffle. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement AWS cloud infrastructure to support our applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline continuous integration and deployment processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and liaise with key internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Containerise applications with Docker and orchestrate using Kubernetes.
  • Write Python or Bash scripts to automate tasks and enhance system functionality.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in an AWS environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-based architectures and best practices.
  • Experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid working environment.
  • Technical leadership and liaising with key internal stakeholders.
