About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Web Development team at Howden. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing our front-end applications using Microsoft Azure, Blazor, and C#. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating scalable, high-performing, and user-friendly solutions that are secure and reliable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality front-end applications using Azure, Blazor, and C#.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement technical solutions.
  • Participate in agile development methodologies and contribute to the development of our roadmap.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced colleagues to help them progress towards senior roles.
  • Drive up standards and quality, and maximize throughput of the team through a robust CI/CD mindset.
About You
  • You have a strong understanding of the broader technological landscape and a keen eye for detail.
  • You have a strong understanding and demonstrable use of HTML, CSS, C#, and Blazor.
  • You have a defensive mindset when consuming APIs and sanitizing user inputs.
  • You have an understanding of accessibility needs and experience meeting relevant standards.
  • You have experience with Test-driven Development and a strong commitment to high-quality, maintainable, and easy-to-understand code.
  • You have a strong understanding of security and experience with observability, monitoring tools, and gathering data insights.
  • You have a detailed exposure to Azure cloud technologies and a strong communicator and facilitator.
  • You have an experimental and scientific mindset leading to data-led decision making.
  • You have a strong understanding of agile development methodologies and genuinely believe in the value of continuous delivery practices and iterative development based on feedback.
