Hexcel Corporation is a global leader in advanced composites technology, seeking a highly skilled R&T Process Engineer to join our team in the UK.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented individual to design and develop existing technologies and introduce new ones to our factory, ensuring they meet safety requirements. The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Design and Development: Create and implement innovative solutions to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and quality enhancements.
  • Project Management: Lead projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Supplier Liaison: Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to establish requirements and resolve issues.
  • Equipment Specification: Prepare and validate specifications for new and modified capital equipment.
  • Resource Allocation: Assign resources to deliver project objectives, working with internal and external vendors.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with cross-functional and multi-site stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain plant standard operating instructions and training materials.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree: A degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or materials science.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks), 2D CAD (AutoCAD), and statistical software.
  • Process Engineering Experience: A minimum of [X] years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing.
  • Communication and Reporting Skills: Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to present to all levels of the organization.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience delivering engineering projects, data-driven problem-solving, and process risk and hazard assessment tools.
