Aircraft Painter Job Description

Job Title: Aircraft Painter Location: Blackwood Salary: £26,775 per annum, +£80 per week shift allowance when required

Hours: Full time. Monday - Friday mornings & afternoons

We are currently recruiting an Aircraft Painter to work for a company based in Blackwood. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of aircraft parts and the accuracy of documentation and parts control.

Main Job Roles:
  • Mixing sealants, filler materials, and paint to the correct ratios.
  • Applying primer, top coat paint, and sprayed applied coatings to aircraft parts.
  • Performing straight masking operations and minor filling operations related to the cosmetic appearance of the part being worked.
  • Preparing surfaces prior to application of paint and ensuring the airworthiness of the product.
  • Working as part of a team and supporting and driving projects and Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Being flexible to business needs and working various shift patterns as required.
Required Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role is essential. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of parts worked within an evaluation period and be able to learn proper scope of work documentation procedures.
