Teaching Assistant - Part-time (2/3 Days per Week) Job Summary

Vacancy for Teaching Assistants

Trumpington Park Primary School.

Required as soon as possible.

These are term-time only roles - part-time up to 19.5 hours per week (2 or 3 days per week).

Core school hours are between 8am and 4pm but flexibility may be able to be offered.

Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 4 - 5 (Level 1-2 TA)

£10,093 - £10,784 (Actual Salary per year) based on 19.5 hours/3 days per week.

Plus midday supervisor contract, based on 3 hours per week £1,527 (Grade 3).

You will be part of a very friendly team working in our wonderful classrooms supporting the children's learning either on a whole class, small group or one-to-one basis. These are varied, fun and fulfilling roles where you will be making a difference to the children's learning and you will see their progress every day. An element of your duties will also include preparation of fantastic teaching resources/class displays and will also include midday supervision during the children's lunchbreak.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Will have achieved GCSE English & Maths Grade C (4/5) or above or equivalent
  • Has some experience of supporting children in Key Stages One/Two.
  • Will possess outstanding communication skills and can work well in a team
  • Demonstrates an understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues
