Job Summary

Stagecoach Group is seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Barrow Depot. As a Vehicle Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in top condition to provide excellent service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair a variety of vehicles, including buses and coaches, to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with vehicles.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians and engineers to ensure efficient and effective vehicle maintenance.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with the latest vehicle technologies and maintenance techniques.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, preferably in a bus or coach environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including brakes, suspension, and engine management.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
