We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Healthcare Support Worker to join our team within the Rosebank Ward at Caithness General Hospital. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of evidence-based patient care, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Assist with patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and monitoring patient progress.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, promoting dignity and compassion in all interactions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and address patient needs, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices and guidelines.

Working Arrangements:

  • This is a part-time position, working 23 hours per week, with a rotational day/night duty contract as required.
  • The fixed-term contract is in place to cover a period of maternity leave, with a duration of approximately 1 year.

NHS Scotland is committed to reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. You may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you will be paid.
