Transforming holiday experiences for children
Position Overview:
- Role: Early Childhood Educator
- Employment Type: Seasonal, during summer and half-term breaks.
- Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM on weekdays. Opportunities for full-time or part-time positions, with additional hours available for those with a pediatric first aid certification (typically 8 AM – 6 PM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
- Facilitate engaging and structured activities (including sports, arts, and play) for our Early Years participants.
- Collaborate with the Early Years Leader to ensure activities align with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards, focusing on active participation.
- Serve as a primary contact for children aged 4 and 5, providing exceptional care and support.
Utilize your skills and gain valuable experience.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with children and leading activities.
- A genuine passion for fostering child development through play and engagement.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- A flexible team player, capable of adapting to the dynamic environment of a holiday camp.
- Seeking a fulfilling seasonal role while advancing a career in childcare and coaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Early Years children and familiarity with EYFS delivery.
- Level 2 qualification in childcare or Early Years, or actively pursuing a degree in a related field (e.g., Primary Education or Early Years).
- Certification in Pediatric First Aid (12 or 6 hour) or First Aid at Work.
