We are currently seeking a Category Procurement Specialist to enhance our dynamic team. This is a permanent hybrid position offering a competitive salary of up to £65,000.

Work Environment:
This role will involve a blend of remote work and occasional office presence, with minimal requirements for on-site attendance.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading the execution of strategic procurement initiatives, ensuring seamless operations and alignment with client expectations.
  • Providing expert guidance on the establishment of intricate public sector frameworks and managing various tender processes.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of contracts and statements of work, ensuring compliance and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Offering proactive advice to clients on enhancing their procurement methodologies and addressing stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborating with the commercial team to devise innovative solutions for both new and existing clientele.

Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Extensive experience in public sector procurement, particularly in managing above-threshold tender procedures.
  • A solid understanding of construction contract forms, including JCT and NEC.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Project management certifications (e.g., Prince2, PMP) and a CIPS qualification are highly desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency in IT, particularly with the MS Office Suite and eSourcing platforms.

Additional Skills:
Experience in integrating themes such as social value and sustainability into procurement processes is advantageous. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while adhering to delivery timelines.
