Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Gap Technical Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with SHE and Quality Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform safety and maintenance checks, and record results accurately.
  • Advise on repair, replacement, and maintenance requirements.
  • Fault find on highly automated plant, including PLC's, VSD's, and process instrumentation.
  • Read and understand electrical drawings.
  • Advise on foreseeable maintenance requirements and essential spares needs.
  • Keep accurate maintenance repair records.
  • Plan, carry out, and record electrical testing and maintenance.
  • Contribute to electrical aspects of RCA reports where significant downtime has occurred.
  • Active involvement in the commissioning of new plant or equipment.
  • Provide support in non-electrical areas as directed by the business.

Requirements:

  • Time served Apprenticeship / ONC Engineering - Electrical HNC Electrical Engineering.
  • PLC and Variable speed drives experience (desirable).
  • C&G 2391 inspection and testing (desirable).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office systems (e.g. Word, Excel etc.).
  • Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Knowledge and experience in risk assessment.
