Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Proactive Personnel Ltd. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing breakdown cover on automated fast-moving equipment and servicing and repairing production equipment in line with FMCG policies and safe working procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuous improvement of equipment to optimize production efficiency
  • Day-to-day attention to Electrical/Mechanical breakdowns and changeovers
  • An active position in generating ideas for improvement to enhance overall performance
  • Finding the root cause of any production problems and implementing measures to prevent recurrence
  • Electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting
  • Safe installation of machinery and control panels

Requirements:

  • Experience within a manufacturing or production industry is essential
  • Experience with conveyors is a must
  • A team player with a proactive approach, plenty of ideas, and enthusiasm, able to work under pressure
  • Open-mindedness to learn new techniques and technology
  • Electrical or Mechanical ability is essential
  • PLC knowledge is desirable but not essential
  • Formal qualifications to NVQ, C&G, or ONC are required
  • Time served Electrical apprenticeship is advantageous
