Domestic Assistant Job Description

Havencourt Care Home is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the care home environment, adhering to company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Provide a high-quality domestic cleaning service, ensuring all areas are clean and tidy.
  • Undertake all necessary hygienic work practices to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Clean and protect various floor surfaces, furniture, and fixtures.
  • Assist with the daily well-being of residents, helping them settle into their new environment.
  • Ensure laundry services are effective and efficient, working in line with guidance and expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure the laundry service is effective and meets the needs of residents.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
