About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist psychological advice and consultation to the multidisciplinary team, as well as delivering highly skilled psychological assessments and interventions to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver highly skilled psychological assessments and interventions to patients and their families
  • Provide specialist psychological advice and consultation to the multidisciplinary team
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist advice and consultation on babies' and families' psychological care
  • Design, conduct, and lead on research activities at a doctoral level, including service-related research and audits
  • Teach and train health professionals in psychological concepts

Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical/counselling psychology, including models of psychopathology, psychometrics, and neuropsychology
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Experience delivering highly skilled psychological assessments and interventions, as well as providing specialist advice and consultation to the multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • High level knowledge of the theory and practice of psychological therapies
