About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Cashier to join our team at Clayton Legal - Legal Recruitment Specialists. As a leading legal recruitment agency, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional service to our clients and candidates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and authorise online electronic bank transfers, including CHAPS, BACS, and Faster Payment transactions.
  • Manage office disbursements and invoice payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Maintain accurate client ledgers, ensuring up-to-date records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with month-end procedures, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Perform credit control duties, ensuring prompt collection of outstanding debts.
  • Undertake other ad-hoc accounts tasks as necessary, supporting the smooth operation of the accounts department.
  • Conduct daily bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a Legal Cashier or similar role, with a strong understanding of financial procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and perform complex financial tasks.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal colleagues and external clients in a professional and courteous manner.
