Job Title: Managing Building Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Building Surveyor to join our Project & Programme Services team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality projects across various sectors, including retail, health, energy, commercial property, education, and public sectors.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage teams of surveyors and engineers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including feasibility studies, specifications, estimates, and contract administration.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior surveyors and engineers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver projects successfully.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other external parties to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of business strategies and proposals to secure new projects and clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in project delivery.
Requirements:
  • B.Sc. (Hons) in Building Surveying or a similar RICS-accredited degree.
  • Chartered status essential/highly desirable.
  • Significant experience in building surveying, project management, and team leadership.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and skills in building surveying, including feasibility studies, specifications, estimates, and contract administration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to project delivery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
