Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team at European Tech Recruit. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and operating our global network, including backbone, data centre, public cloud, and Edge/CDN.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy network infrastructure to support business growth and expansion
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network operations
- Monitor and troubleshoot network issues to ensure high uptime and performance
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements to our network architecture
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on data centre and cloud networking
- Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, and MPLS
- Experience with network monitoring protocols and tools, such as SNMP, flow/netflow, and telemetry
- Familiarity with data centre network architecture, including CLOS
- Hands-on experience with major network devices, including Cisco, Arista, Juniper, H3C, and Huawei
Preferred Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols and implementation in hyper-scale data centre networks
- Experience with public cloud architecture, including AWS, GCP, Azure, Ali Cloud, and OCI
- Familiarity with mainstream commercial switch/router chipsets, including Broadcom and Barefoot
- Strong understanding of IPv6 and IPv4-IPv6 coexistence technologies
- Programming/scripting skills in Python or other languages
