Job Summary:

MRK Associates is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing and monitoring accounts receivable to ensure timely payments from customers, maximizing cash while minimizing bad debts and financial risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all debtors ledgers for Indirect and ensure adherence to procedures that minimize bad debt and maximize cash.
  • Target zero debt over 60 days and implement effective communications with Account Managers to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Effectively report the debtors position to Management and calculate monthly partner commissions.
  • Cover banking, accounts payable, and ad-hoc finance tasks, including ownership of various balance sheet accounts.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work well under pressure, both independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and work well with key stakeholders.
  • Experience in a fast-paced business environment, with a track record of exceeding targets.
