We present an engaging opportunity for a Systems Operations Manager, taking on the responsibilities of a Product Owner/Manager for directing the Project Controls Office tech team. Your role will involve defining and implementing a desirable, feasible, practical, and sustainable Project Controls and Planning solution related to SAP, P6, and Dassian at Leonardo.

You will engage technically with all functions and leadership tiers within the Business Unit and project team frameworks to enhance overall system performance and strategy. The Project Controls solution will cater to the diverse needs of functions, scheduling, prioritization, partner coordination, and will serve as the foundation for project and business performance reporting.

This position offers a blend of remote work and onsite responsibilities.

  • Provide expert guidance across the organization for Planning, Scheduling, and Project Controls
  • Offer impactful recommendations to improve business efficiency and workflows
  • Utilize specialized knowledge and experience to develop insights, new ideas, and strategies for system and performance enhancements
  • Define and shape the Project Controls Product Roadmap
  • Leverage awareness of external best practices and current trends in planning, scheduling, and project controls to assess risks and opportunities
  • Oversee, inspire, and nurture the project controls office tech team to support services and meet business objectives
  • Guide, mentor, and empower colleagues in functional and technical domains, influencing business lines to adopt the solution
  • Effectively address complex relationship and functional challenges
  • Enhance and expand professional knowledge base and networks
  • Foster key relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers
  • Establish relevant key performance indicators and metrics for informed decision-making on schedule and project performance
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Project Management, Scheduling/Planning, and Control methodologies and functions in the industry
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of technical complexities and facilitate process adjustments alongside IT-based solutions
  • Showcase proficient change management skills, particularly in uncertain circumstances
  • Proactively identify potential issues and ensure optimal system performance through problem-solving abilities
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team to achieve desired outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders through various communication channels
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of Planning and Scheduling across industries and apply best practices accordingly
  • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all seniority levels
