About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager/Ward Manager to join our team at Kings Norton Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the achievement of national quality and safety objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional advice, guidance, and support to nursing staff to enable them to assume responsibility for their roles.
  • Ensure compliance with safe storage and administration of drugs/medication in accordance with our policies.
  • Undertake and be proficient in relevant clinical skills, providing supervision and assessment of nursing staff in their day-to-day working practices.
  • Collaborate with the Matron to implement infection prevention and control measures, minimizing the risks of infections for the ward.
  • Maintain effective communication of patient care and other essential information with internal and external members of the nursing and multi-disciplinary team.
  • Communicate difficult, complex, and emotive information, such as breaking bad news.
  • Ensure accurate and legible record keeping in accordance with local policies and NMC guidelines.
Requirements
  • A current NMC Pin registration, with at least 4 years' experience in a similar environment.
  • A legal right to work in the UK.
  • Evidence of continuous personal and professional development.
  • Passion for providing high-quality care and the Patient and Carer Experience.
  • Forward thinking, proactive, and creative.
