Job Title: Platform Engineer

At easyJet, we're looking for a skilled Platform Engineer to join our IT team. As a Platform Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, testing, and scaling our IT services.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the seamless delivery of all IT services for their assigned Platform. This includes designing, building, testing, and scaling services within a specific I&O Platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement new or improved I&O capabilities
  • Manage and continuously improve infrastructure components such as servers, databases, cloud services, network, and storage systems
  • Collaborate with Platform Architects, product/platform teams, security, and network specialists
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience within an IT department
  • Proficiency in designing scalable and reliable technology Platforms
  • Experience in IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Understanding of system development life cycle methodologies
  • Strong scripting skills to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency
