About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Nurse to join our CAMHS Inpatient Service at Pennine Care NHS FT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management to our nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care and achieve service objectives.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop risk management plans to ensure patient safety.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to junior staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection process to ensure the appointment of suitable candidates.
  • Contribute to the development of the service by identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and staff experience.
Person Specification
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC registration.
  • Substantial post-registered experience in a mental health setting, preferably in CAMHS.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team of nurses.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Knowledge of current initiatives within CAMHS and the ability to apply this knowledge in a clinical setting.
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
