Facilities Operations Manager - North Yorkshire

This role is a fixed-term contract, overseeing the northern regions of the UK and Scotland.

Stonegate Group stands as the largest pub operator in the UK. We are seeking a Facilities Operations Manager to join our team responsible for our establishments in the northern territories of England and Scotland. This position is crucial within our organization, ensuring that our properties are safe, compliant, and fully functional.

As the Facilities Operations Manager, you will spearhead the management of the FM supply chain within your designated area, including overseeing trials and innovations to guarantee safe, compliant, and high-quality service delivery. You will ensure adherence to our critical asset management, design standards, and compliance with all relevant legislation and Stonegate-specific protocols. Utilizing monitored performance metrics and service standards, you will manage the FM supply chain effectively and oversee significant business continuity projects to ensure operational safety and legality.

In collaboration with the Helpdesk, Operations, and Finance teams, you will ensure that repair and maintenance expenditures are precise and within budget, providing early insights into spending justifications.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in a commercially driven, fast-paced environment, preferably within the Retail, Food and Beverage, or Leisure sectors.
  • Familiarity with complex stakeholder environments.
  • A degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management or a related field, such as Engineering.
  • Recognition of professional competence through membership or chartership in a relevant body, such as BIFM or IWFM.
  • Strong commercial insight with a proven record of delivering commercial advantages through risk-based FM decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership, relationship management, planning, presentation, and influencing capabilities.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in incident management related to business continuity.
  • Proficient understanding of the UK regulatory framework for building safety and compliance.
  • Ability to balance the diverse expectations and priorities of various stakeholder groups over different timeframes.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and assertiveness.
  • Capacity to analyze and interpret data swiftly and accurately.
  • Strong IT skills, evidenced by proficiency in standard software applications.
