Are you an experienced Driver Operations Manager or Transport Manager? In collaboration with the Distribution Site Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the Management team, inspiring and guiding a talented group of Team Managers. Your responsibilities will include budget management and the formulation and execution of driver operations strategies.

Key Qualifications
- Proven experience in distribution management
- Proficient in SAP, particularly the ERP module
- Familiarity with distribution systems, processes, and regulations including Operator Licence, Tachograph, and WTD
- Transport Management CPC certification
Responsibilities
You will lead a journey of innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of products to our customers and sites nationwide. Teamwork is essential, as you will manage a group of Driver Operations Team Managers overseeing approximately 70 Class 2 Drivers across 40 routes, in addition to 40 Class 1 Primary Drivers.
Daily collaboration with Warehouse and Distribution management teams will be crucial for coordinating the collection and delivery of products, ensuring resources are effectively allocated, and monitoring the punctuality and completeness of deliveries while upholding customer service standards.
With your extensive experience, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement, maintaining a keen focus on budget management and ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements for fleet management.

Our Wednesbury Bakery and Distribution depot is located in the heart of the Black Country, with a dedicated team that has been serving the community for nearly 25 years. We take pride in our loyal workforce, which has grown to nearly 400 colleagues, ensuring the daily delivery of our freshly baked products to families across the UK.
We produce and distribute over 2 million loaves of bread weekly, committed to high standards of health, safety, and sustainability, including our own mini power generation plant that supplies combined heat and power to the bakery. Wednesbury is renowned for the Tiger Bloomer.
