We are seeking an experienced Senior Category Buyer to join our Procurement Team in Burton on Trent. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the strategic procurement of direct raw and processed materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance
  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers, including contract negotiation and performance reviews
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Provide market intelligence and insights to inform procurement decisions

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Proven track record of achieving cost savings and improving supplier performance
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • Contract management and negotiation experience

  • A competitive salary up to £45k, plus a £4k car allowance
  • A hybrid working arrangement, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
