About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Surveyor to join our team at BAM Construct & Ventures UK Ltd. As a Project Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the commercial management of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Contract Management
    • Procure subcontract packages and assemble enquiry documentation
    • Obtain and analyze subcontractor quotations and make recommendations
    • Prepare subcontractor order documentation and manage payments
    • Exercise commercial control over subcontract packages
  • Commercial Control and Valuation
    • Support the main contract valuation preparation
    • Assist in the monthly and quarterly forecast reporting process
    • Agree final accounts for subcontract packages
  • Project Risk and Opportunity Planning
    • Support and contribute to project risk and opportunity planning
  • Client and Stakeholder Management
    • Maintain a professional approach with clients and professional teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
    • Seek opportunities and development in design to improve overall project delivery
    • Manage client valuations and variations, and agree final accounts
    • Maintain client and consultant professional relationships
  • Compliance and Governance
    • Ensure compliance with contract requirements
Requirements
  • Commercial Experience
    • A proven track record in commercial or residential sectors would be advantageous
    • A demonstrable and proven track record working for a main contractor in the construction industry in a two-stage tender environment
  • Education and Qualifications
    • Qualified at degree level and/or working towards MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent professional level
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Experience in managing and working within a team
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Confident and experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
    • Experience of working with BIM and computer-aided measurement tools
