We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Dunlarg care home in County Armagh. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centred dining experiences for our residents.
The successful candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional culinary services. You will work closely with our Chef to support menu planning, meal preparation, and kitchen management, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
This is a 32-hour per week role, with a requirement to cover weekends. If you are a motivated and organized individual with a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply.
Main Responsibilities- Support the kitchen team and Chef in providing training, development, and motivation to ensure best practice.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver all aspects of food preparation and cooking efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure operational standards are met and maintained.
- Assist with monitoring the home's catering budget.
- Develop and create varied and interesting menus.
- Organize stock ordering and rotation in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Undertake other duties as designated by the Home Manager.
