At SC Johnson Ltd, we are excited to present an opportunity for individuals eager to embark on or advance their career as a Accounts Receivable – German Language Specialist. This role is integral to our team and offers a full-time, permanent position.
Our EMEA Shared Services Centre in the UK comprises approximately 250 professionals across various functions, including Finance, Credit & Collections, and Supply Chain. We cater to over 20 countries and communicate in around 40 languages. The Shared Services Centre is one of five distinct SCJ operations located at our site.
As a fifth-generation family-owned enterprise, SC Johnson has thrived for over 130 years, championing brands such as Raid, Glade, Kiwi, OFF, Windex, Ziploc, and many others. Through these renowned products, we strive to make a positive impact on the world, supported by our dedicated workforce of 13,000 individuals who are valued and encouraged to pursue both personal and collective objectives.
Role Responsibilities:
The Customer Financial Services (CFS) team, consisting of seven multilingual units, supports our commercial operations across the EMEA region in areas such as Collections, Resolutions, Cash Allocation, and Pricing.
This position is situated within the Customer Financial Services department (Credit Control) and aims to enhance SCJ's financial outcomes by overseeing collections and credit management tasks, minimizing outstanding deductions, expediting claim validations, and ensuring precise invoice allocations in accordance with departmental KPIs.
Key Duties:
- Manage credit risk for a designated portfolio of customer accounts across the EMEA region.
- Make informed credit decisions within the Delegation of Authority framework.
- Work independently and collaboratively across functions to pursue Receivable items and process incoming claims.
- Take ownership of customer credit and ledger issues, escalating when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external controls while identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements through a Lean mindset.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in both English and German.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within an accounting or accounts receivable environment.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel for reporting and Outlook.
