Our client, a leading medical device company, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented sewing technician to join their team. As a sewing technician, you will work in a clean room environment, applying your sewing skills and knowledge to the assembly of heart valves.
Responsibilities:- Use specialized tools, such as needles, scissors, and forceps, to perform assigned steps in the sewing assembly of valves.
- Perform quality checks on your work and others against specifications and defined failure modes.
- Complete all operations in accordance with work instructions, good manufacturing practices, and quality system requirements.
- Support manufacturing-related aspects of projects within a team as required.
- Be aware of Health and Safety information for applicable processes and adhere to all EHS rules and requirements.
- Must take initiative and complete hands-on work under guidance.
- Ability to use small hand tools, hand-eye coordination, and high manual dexterity.
- Must be able to work in a team environment with minimum supervision.
- Must handle single tasks with high attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and speak English, and good communication skills required.
- Must have good documentation skills and be able to complete applicable training requirements.
- GCSE or equivalent.
- Experience of sewing, art, and crafts or other high manual dexterity tasks essential.
- Some experience of manufacturing, GMP, clean room, and medical device desirable.
