About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at one of our leading automated factories. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project work. You will also be required to plan and carry out preventative maintenance to ensure a high standard of plant maintenance is always achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintenance of all plant machinery through fault finding, planned maintenance, shut downs, and project work.
  2. Assistance with the installation of new plant equipment.
  3. Effective communication with colleagues and production teams, and maintaining required logs of maintenance work.

The role will involve mechanical maintenance, including belts, chains, gear boxes, pumps, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabricating, as well as electrical fault finding with electrical automated machinery.

Requirements
  1. Completed a recognized Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications.
  2. Maintenance experience, dealing with machinery and equipment problems and breakdowns, and/or completing preventative maintenance of plant/industrial machinery.
  3. Willingness to take on and complete further training as part of growth and development in the factory and company.
