We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our Response (voids and repairs works) business, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial and technical aspects of our contracts are managed effectively.

About the Role

The Managing Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:

  • Financial Management: Overseeing the financial aspects of the contract, including procurement, invoicing, payments, cash flow, and cost control.
  • Technical Management: Ensuring all work issued has labour targets to return agreed profit performance, and developing and maintaining relationships with the workforce, customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and our client.
  • Procurement: Procuring materials, plant, and subcontracts in line with our systems/procedures and contract budgets.
  • Contract Valuations: Producing monthly contract valuations of the unit's actual deliverables against the projected budget (CVRs).

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in a similar commercial or quantity surveying role, with a strong understanding of financial and technical aspects of contracting.
  • IT and Microsoft Excel Skills: Strong IT and Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to process high volumes of data analysis.
