Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript Full Stack) Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Client Server, a successful and profitable energy trading market data start-up. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in driving the development of our cutting-edge technology platform.

About the Role:

  • Take ownership of Greenfield development projects, working on complex problems with scalability and reliability in mind.
  • Work on a range of technologies, including TypeScript, Elixir, Elm, and AWS, with a 50/50 split between backend and frontend development.
  • Collaborate with a small, close-knit team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of our technology stack, ensuring it meets the needs of our business.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Degree educated in Computer Science or a similar STEM discipline, with a 2.1 or above from a Russell Group or top 100 global university.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices and Computer Science fundamentals.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with TypeScript and a backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, C#).
  • Familiarity with the following technologies: Elixir, Elm, Phoenix, LiveView, Python, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker.
  • Experience working in start-ups or SMEs.
  • Good understanding of financial markets (desirable).
