Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading and Developing the Manufacturing Team
- Develop and implement Department Business plans and objectives to drive high-quality performance, output, and engagement.
- Lead, manage, and raise the profile of the Machining facility to meet business KPI targets for safety, efficiency, profitable growth, customer service, and employee engagement.
- Identifying and Implementing Efficiency Improvements
- Identify, plan, and implement future efficiency, cost, and quality improvement opportunities with a focus on digital and technological advances.
- Utilize existing manufacturing execution systems to drive efficiency and quality improvements using data-driven techniques.
- Developing a Culture of Continuous Improvement
- Develop, embed, and maintain a continuous improvement culture through leading continuous improvement activities, using 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
- Engage and develop Production Managers, Team Leaders, and colleagues to drive high-quality output and meet business objectives.
- Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams
- Liaise and work alongside Production Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Health, Safety, and Environment & Human Resources to deliver high-quality output.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A recognized apprenticeship or equivalent qualification and experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Utilized manufacturing software to drive efficiency and quality.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills.
