Job Summary
Pearson is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to support the development, implementation, and ongoing management of exam delivery solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Event Manager to ensure the smooth execution of testing events in the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Event Manager in researching, identifying, and securing testing venues and invigilators to meet the required footprint for testing events.
- Contribute to a range of exam preparation and delivery tasks, including coordinating activities associated with the invoice payment process for 3rd Party Suppliers.
- Work with the team to ensure the provision of appropriate training and supporting documents for successful exam delivery.
- Develop strong relationships with wider Pearson colleagues to maximize the effectiveness of testing event coordination.
- Support other initiatives as provided by the Event Manager where appropriate.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with coordinating a range of event types and/or projects.
- Enthusiastic, energetic team player who has the ability to work on their own, whilst possessing the ability to seek assistance and/or escalate concerns when required.
- Ability to work positively within a wider team.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Ability to exceed customer expectations.
- Ability to adapt to new business practices and respond positively.
- Demonstrated experience working with Excel - intermediate to advanced skills.
- Ability to succeed under remote supervision.
- Excellent English, both written and verbal.
- Fully familiar with the Microsoft Office suite and associated packages.
- Full valid and non-restrictive passport.
- Cultural and geographical awareness.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience coordinating logistics associated with events or exam delivery.
- Invoicing and budget coordination desired.
- International work experience and cultural awareness preferred.
- Degree educated or equivalent preferred.
Location
Pearson operates a hybrid working model, with infrequent office days at Manchester and travel requirements as you'll be required to attend and support events.
