About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team in Cardiff. This is a full-time position with an immediate start.

About the Job

In this role, you will be supporting students with special educational needs, focusing on their academic and social development. With your experience, you will help create a structured and nurturing environment that meets the unique needs of autistic students. You will work closely with teachers, using tailored strategies to assist students in overcoming challenges and reaching their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the learning and development of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Work closely with the class teacher to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping to meet their individual learning needs.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of tailored educational activities and resources.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their confidence, independence, and social skills.
  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with ASD, is highly desirable.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children's learning.
