Main Responsibilities

The Associate Director, Technology Evaluation will play a pivotal role in identifying and assessing novel radiopharmaceutical product opportunities, primarily in the oncology disease space, but also encompassing other areas such as cardiology and neurology.

This involves developing a comprehensive understanding of external opportunities through horizon scanning, landscape mapping, and analysis, as well as proactive radiopharmaceutical technology scouting from biotech/pharma/technology transfer offices.

Key Activities
  1. Collaborate with the VP Innovation & Strategy and New Assets Evaluation Team to develop and maintain a clear view of emerging trends in the radiopharmaceutical landscape, defining promising areas of clinical unmet need for future investment focus.
  2. Provide technology/IP landscaping and analysis reports to support the VP Innovation & Strategy and domain experts in the business-relevant disease areas.
  3. Lead on the identification and technical assessment of product pipeline opportunities, against pre-defined criteria, and provide written summaries of outputs.
  4. Develop technical risk assessments and potential mitigation approaches for product pipeline opportunities.
  5. Support the Bracco Global R&D Early-Stage Innovation Department with technology evaluation intel, influencing the shape of their early-stage nuclear medicine project portfolio.
  6. Contribute to the identification and establishment of longer-term strategic R&D collaborations.
  7. Investigate potential opportunities to leverage grant funding for academic research collaborations relating to the new product pipeline.
Requirements

Education: A degree in the life sciences or equivalent research experience is required, with a PhD being preferred.

Professional Experience: A background in research and development or technology innovation, preferably in the oncology drug development space, is essential. Experience of leading and delivering on multiple technical assessments of sourced opportunities is also required.

Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, including communication, multitasking, efficiency, punctuality, and project management, are necessary.
