Compensation: £11.50 per hour, Temporary to Permanent

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a dedicated Production Operative to become part of a dynamic team in the Pontypool region. This role offers a pathway from temporary to permanent employment.

This position is perfect for a motivated individual eager to embrace new challenges while enhancing their skills and knowledge within the industry. Reporting directly to the BCCH Team Leader, your primary focus will be in the GRP department, where you will be responsible for producing BCCH products utilizing various techniques including Finishing, spray laminating, and moulding, along with hand laminating as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spray laminate chimney coves and install laminate flashing channels
  • Trimming and finishing products
  • Preparation and maintenance of moulds
  • Conduct daily and weekly maintenance tasks
  • Produce items that meet quality standards
  • Meet daily production targets
  • Operate safely and effectively using both manual and mechanical methods
  • Comply with health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean work environment
  • Participate in ongoing personal development and training opportunities
  • Operate machinery as required

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a fast-paced production setting
  • Understanding of health and safety protocols related to machinery, adhesives, and resins
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and production job sheets
  • Proven ability to produce work with high accuracy and quality
  • Strong time management skills, capable of organizing tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively within a diverse team
  • Able to work independently after initial training and orientation
  • Experience with handheld tools is advantageous
