Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and integrate electrical modules (ECUs, sensors, and actuators) into vehicle electrical architecture.
  • Collaborate with Functional Departments, technical partners, and Tier 1 suppliers to ensure seamless integration.
  • Manage compliance with functional safety, legislative, electrical, environmental, and EMC requirements.
  • Lead system review, verification, and validation activities, including FMEAs, test planning, and functionality tests.
  • Represent the Electrical Department in status meetings and engineering reviews.
  • Manage supplier relationships and coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, and Quality teams.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of automotive New Product Development Process and milestones.
  • Demonstrable experience in automotive electrical components' design, development, and manufacture.
  • Good experience and knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, ECUs, and other electrically wired components.
  • Wide-ranging expertise in electrical systems, software features/functions, electrical architectures, and systems design/integration.
  • Working knowledge of CAN, FlexRay, automotive ethernet, LIN networks, and vehicle diagnostics.
  • Experience in design for good electrical and EMC performance.
  • Established contacts within the automotive ecosystem, including Tier 1 and component suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of hybrid and full-electric electrical vehicle architectures and wiring systems.
  • Excellent understanding of 2D drawings, electrical circuits.
  • Experience in creating Engineering Change Requests and managing implementation through design release.
  • Experience in system/component delivery within an APQP, six sigma, or similar framework.
  • Additional Project Management qualification is desirable.
