**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our Operations team at Swindon Borough Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our ambitious regeneration and transformation programmes.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Prepare feasibility studies, develop new initiatives, and produce detailed technical specifications, drawings, and design solutions for modernisation and improvement projects within our capital investment program.
  • Prepare contractual documents and work closely with our procurement team to award successful contractors.
  • Manage project delivery, including chairing progress meetings with contractors and reviewing and reporting project KPIs to the delivery manager.
  • Budget monitoring, producing project cost reports, and reporting to the delivery manager.
  • Monitoring of contractors' progress and quality of works, including detailed sign-offs.

**Requirements**

  • Track record of project delivery within commercial and housing properties.
  • Basic knowledge/understanding of AutoCAD.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Track record of contract management and management of contractors.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project.
  • Full driving licence.
