Technical Procurement Specialist

Reed Norwich is seeking a skilled Technical Procurement Specialist to join our client based in Watton. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technical procurement and be familiar with both electrical and mechanical engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute technical procurement activities in a project-based manufacturing environment.
  • Lead supplier selection and development initiatives, evaluating potential suppliers based on quality, delivery capabilities, and cost.
  • Apply knowledge of mechanical and electrical processes to engage with suppliers and assess technical requirements.
  • Manage key suppliers' priority schedules to ensure timely receipt of goods.
  • Communicate supply status updates to Project Managers and Production Planning/Management.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a manufacturing-based purchasing role.
  • Broad understanding of mechanical and electrical processes.
  • Competence in interpreting engineering CAD drawings.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CIPS certification (Or working towards).
  • Engineering related qualification.
