About the Role

As a platform engineer, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining the infrastructure and processes that support technology transformation projects. You will also spearhead the adoption of contemporary platforms and methodologies.

We seek hands-on platform engineers with a profound understanding of the Azure ecosystem to collaborate with delivery teams on exciting digital initiatives across various sectors.

As an Azure specialist, you will work within small product teams alongside developers, architects, designers, analysts, and product owners to implement automation, tooling, and cloud infrastructure solutions.

We promote continuous learning and provide opportunities to work with industry leaders and explore the latest technologies, along with rewards for achieving Azure certifications.

About You

You will possess the expertise and confidence to define and support the Azure delivery platform in complex projects, typically collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams.

Your qualifications include:

  • Experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud environments within Azure.
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, ARM Templates, Helm, or Pulumi.
  • Experience with build and deployment tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, or Jenkins.
  • Strong automation and scripting skills using tools like PowerShell, AZ CLI, Python, Bash, Ruby, or Groovy.
  • Knowledge of configuration management technologies including DSC, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack, or Ansible.
  • Expertise in logging and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Azure App Insights, New Relic, or Datadog.
  • Understanding of cloud platform design patterns and best practices.
  • Familiarity with common database and caching technologies, including Azure SQL, CosmosDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Memcache, or Redis.
  • Basic knowledge of popular programming languages used in modern web application development, such as C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Go, or PHP.
  • Exposure to iterative/agile development methodologies and experience in facilitating team delivery through technology.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms and technologies is a plus.
