Job Description:
Role Overview:
The Solution Architect will be responsible for taking ownership of the successful, predictable, and repeatable implementation of SAP/ERP-based solutions that meet the needs of business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading SAP/ERP architecture delivery for multiple concurrent business projects
- Participating in the standardization of the solution architecture capability, including documents, principles, policies, standards, and methodology
- Capable of working within an agile environment involving iterative iterations of architectural change
- Making justified decisions about the architectural patterns most suitable for projects
- Working closely and contributing positively with stakeholders and other Group functions to ensure architecture reuse and best practice
- Guiding and supporting other architects through periods of significant change
- Communicating effectively within the team and stakeholders
- Documenting and obtaining agreement with stakeholders for decisions, buy vs. build decisions, and early-phase project estimates that contribute to business cases
- Escalating architecture design issues to stakeholders related to possible alternative solutions
- Innovating and exciting by bringing technology opportunities to remedy business pain points, initiating proof of concept activities to evaluate fit
- Obtaining knowledge of best practice and latest opportunities that can positively impact the business, for example, AI
- Identifying and developing partnership and collaborative working opportunities and relationships within the organization, suppliers, stakeholders, private, and public sector organizations, to develop the Solution Architecture, in order to maximize opportunities to deliver value to the organization
