Job Description

Cloud Security Consultant

La Fosse is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Consultant to join our team. As a Cloud Security Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and optimize cloud security controls.
  • Lead efforts to enhance security configurations and policies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with industry standards, including the Cloud Security Alliance, Cloud Controls Matrix, and NIST guidelines.
  • Implement and enforce standards and policies to safeguard workloads and the cloud infrastructure, applying a deep understanding of IAM, RBAC, SIEM, firewalls, and CNAPP.
  • Provide technical security expertise and guidance to team members and the wider business, serving as a trusted advisor to shape and drive the security agenda across key business units.
  • Conduct comprehensive technical assessments of existing cloud security capabilities and solutions to identify vulnerabilities and risks, developing actionable recommendations and strategies for securing cloud solutions.
  • Implement security measures for cloud-native applications, including container security and serverless architectures, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate the deployment of security controls and ensure consistency and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Deep technical security background with in-depth knowledge of cross-cloud security principles and standard processes.
  • Proven experience in cloud security, with a strong understanding of cloud security controls, compliance, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Experience with cloud security tools and technologies, including IAM, RBAC, SIEM, firewalls, and CNAPP.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive day rate of £750-£800.
  • An IR35 status of Inside.
  • A duration of 6 months initially.
  • Travel to our Hertfordshire office 2 days a week.
